Hi Lyn,

I have already been on two anti-tnf's, but when I was on the second one I had an infection that put me in hospital for six weeks over the summer last year. The doctor said, although the anti tnf did not cause the infection itself it was a major reason it took so long to recover, I was taking antibiotis for about fifteen weeks, so it was decided I would have to stay off them. The infection got into my knee replacement and the doctors said it would have to come out .... but in the end it stayed, although my knee is not half as good nowSad

But onwards and upwards, bring on the next treatment ThumpUp

Hi Gill

Welcome to the forum... Its been a while since I was Methotrexate but I always had my bloods done at my GP surgery for them to monitor and then rheumatologist took blood when I had check up for their records...

I'm Helly, 35yrs old and was born with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, although not diagnosed until just before 3rd birthday...

I've already had remission with my condition which was lovely. Unfortunately it came out of remission last September but looks like I'm kicking its butt thanks to hydroxychloroquine.

Look forward to getting to know you...

Helly x
